Gallina Research Institute

The Gallina Research Institute for Indigenous Technology (GRIIT) is an Indigenous-managed archaeological research and training program based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With a focus on promoting sovereignty over ancestral lands and empowering Indigenous youth, GRIIT aims to create pathways for the next generation of Indigenous archaeologists to engage with their cultural heritage.

One of GRIIT's primary research objectives is to understand the Gallina people, who inhabited the region between A.D. 1100 and 1300.
