The Galisteo Basin Preserve, located 14 miles south of Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a conservation-based community development spanning nearly 10,000 acres. With over 44 miles of accessible trails, it serves as a refuge for wildlife and people, promoting outdoor recreation and community engagement.

Since its establishment in 2003 by Commonweal Conservancy, the preserve has focused on protecting and restoring open spaces while fostering environmentally responsible development.
