Creamland Dairies was formed in 1937 by a group of Albuquerque farmers and businessmen who bought out Albuquerque's oldest existing plant that was operated by the Albuquerque Dairy Association. In 1978, Creamland was acquired by Dean Foods Company. Dean Foods Company is one of the leading food and beverage companies in the United States. The Dairy Group division is one of the largest processors and distributors of milk and other dairy products in the country.
