Presbyterian Healthcare Service is New Mexico's only private, nonprofit statewide healthcare system. With a single purpose of improving the health of individuals, families and communities, Presbyterian Healthcare Service serves more than 520,000 customers throughout New Mexico. Governed by an independent volunteer board of directors, Presbyterian Healthcare Service offers a broad range of healthcare services, including the state's leading health plan, comprehensive hospital services, and primary care and specialty care from more than 27 clinics in eight New Mexico communities. Founded in 1908, the original five-room cottage hospital has grown to a 453-bed hospital today, Presbyterian Hospital, serving more New Mexicans than any other hospital in the state. And Presbyterian Hospital is just one part of a statewide system of care. Presbyterian Healthcare Services operates seven hospitals in Albuquerque, Clovis, Espa ola, Ruidoso, Socorro and Tucumcari. In addition, Presbyterian Healthcare Service offers New Mexicans a range of health insurance products through Presbyterian Health Plan and primary and specialty care through Presbyterian Medical Group at 29 different locations throughout New Mexico.
