Community Outreach Program for the Deaf
The Community Outreach Program for the Deaf in New Mexico, established in 1994, has a long history of providing support and services to Deaf and DeafBlind individuals throughout the state. Although it has ceased most services after 29 years, the program continues to offer interpreting services with a dedicated team, ensuring ongoing support for the community.
Under the current management, the interpreting services have been temporarily routed to Arizona staff, with local Albuquerque personnel now involved in scheduling. The program remains committed to facilitating effective communication through its interpreting services while expressing gratitude to all who have contributed to its mission over the years.
