Community Against Violence (CAV) is a non-profit organization based in Taos, NM, dedicated to creating a community free from domestic and sexual violence. They offer a range of services, including a 24-hour helpline and textline, legal and medical advocacy, counseling and support groups, children's programs, and community prevention and outreach programs. CAV also provides emergency shelter for adults and children, as well as short and long-term transitional housing programs.
CAV relies on the support of local businesses, who have the opportunity to become sponsors and help fund their free confidential services for those in crisis. Additionally, CAV operates a thrift store where tax-deductible donations of household items, furniture, appliances, books, jewelry, and clothing are accepted. In a world where thrift stores are "cool" this place is still super affordable. Most clothing items will cost you $1. 90% of the store is priced under $5.

Pretty good thrift store for small town. Sometimes clothes are sold for $1. I like that. It's always fun to look.
