Chili Pepper Institute
The Chile Pepper Institute, established at New Mexico State University in 1992, is the only international organization dedicated to the education, research, and information related to chile peppers. Located at the Fabian Garcia Research Center, it features the Amy Goldman-Fowler Teaching Garden, showcasing over 150 varieties of chile peppers grown during the summer and fall.
In addition to supporting chile pepper research, the institute offers a diverse selection of chile pepper seeds, food products, books, and merchandise, all aimed at enhancing the experience of chile enthusiasts. Purchases from the institute contribute to valuable hands-on opportunities for student employees while promoting the culinary legacy of chile peppers.
