New Mexico Counseling Association

Website

The New Mexico Counseling Association (NMCA) is a professional organization dedicated to improving equity and access to behavioral healthcare in New Mexico. Led by President Arianna Trott, a counselor with a decade of experience, NMCA focuses on community development, integrated behavioral health services, and patient-centered care. They are currently working on strategic planning to ensure the longevity and effectiveness of the organization, offering virtual continuing education opportunities, and building a leadership pipeline for members to contribute to the new mission and vision of NMCA.

As part of their structural changes, NMCA is dissolving and merging certain divisions into the main NMCA division, creating a Special Interests Group to support other divisions and focus on important affairs. They also have a committee of mental health professionals working towards common goals and ensuring the voice of the profession is heard. With a dedicated executive board and various chairs overseeing different aspects of the organization, NMCA is committed to bettering and supporting communities in New Mexico.
