Whispering Orchards Farm & CSA

History

In 2006 Steve and his wife Cathy purchased what would become Whispering Orchards. In 2014, Cathy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought valiantly through treatments and side effects. Although Steve and Cathy always ate healthy, eating fruits and vegetables sprayed with chemicals only compromises our bodies. In 2017 Cathy and Steve decided to start an organic micro-farm and create a CSA. Things were really beginning to develop on the farm when Cathy was diagnosed with cancer again. God called her back to him 4 weeks later. In the wake of this unbearable loss Steve decided that growing seasonally is not enough. His goal is to use the wholesome landscape of Whispering Orchards to produce a variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and meats following organic practices full time. Knowing how your food is raised has taken on new meaning. Whispering Orchards believes that sustainable organic farming is better for our health, animal welfare, and the planet.
