Founded in 1973, The Lewis School is a private, nonprofit educational institution that serves students with language-based learning difficulties. It offers a range of academic and recreational activities for students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school assists with the development of reading, writing, spelling, listening comprehension, auditory sequencing and active working memory skills. The Lewis School s curriculum includes literature, art, music, history, math and science. It also provides graduate school preparatory study and adult learning programs. The school s offers special educational and guidance counseling programs. The Lewis School administers Children and Animals Realizing Education (C.A.R.E), which senses when a child is reaching his frustration level. It organizes parent-teacher conferences.

The Lewis School is an amazing place for the learning different child. The teachers are FANTASTIC and the small home like feel you cant compare to any other educational institution.

In 5th grade, my son scored between 7th to high school level academically, but they didn't want him there because he was too "active" for their liking. Lost all respect for them after that day.
