The St. Vincent de Paul Society, part of the Trenton Diocesan Council, is a Catholic lay organization that aims to grow spiritually by providing person-to-person service to those in need. Committed to the values of the Gospel, the Society follows the example of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul, in offering assistance to the needy and suffering. Through prayer, reflection, and adherence to a basic Rule, members, known as Vincentians, from diverse backgrounds and economic levels come together to witness God's love and address the causes of poverty and injustice.

Unlike other charitable associations or agencies, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul focuses not only on relieving material misery but also on the spiritual advancement of its members. By combining acts of charity with the pursuit of personal holiness, Vincentians strive to become better Christians and help the poor embark on the same path. The Society's mission is clear: to do significant spiritual good to its members through the exercise of charity and provide both spiritual and temporal assistance to a select number of impoverished families in the name of Jesus Christ.
