Special Dragons Karate is a unique martial arts program in Union, NJ, specifically designed for children with special needs. Led by certified special education teachers who are also black belt karate champions, these classes aim to improve hand-eye coordination, motor control, balance, focus, conditioning, and other challenges faced by children with special needs on a daily basis. Founded in 2012 by George Bostory, a three-time intercollegiate black belt karate champion and certified special education teacher, Special Dragons Karate was created to address the lack of physical sport activities available to children with special needs.
