Family Service Association is a nonprofit, multiservice agency that offers a range of services for children, adolescents, adults and senior citizens. Founded in 1909, it serves the residents of Atlantic County, N.J. The agency provides various outpatient, eye screening and family preservation services. The Family Service Association s outpatient department provides mental health, substance abuse counseling and psychiatry services for individuals, couples and families through licensed clinicians and certified psychiatrists. It operates the Family Life Center, which provides services for children and adults in the areas of day care, job skills training and case management. The agency administers the HEDS Program, which includes assessment and intervention for juveniles. The Family Service Association also conducts the Supportive Assistance To Individuals And Families (S.A.I.F.) program, which features cash assistance services for individuals.
