The New Jersey Alpha Chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, founded in February 1908, has undergone significant transformations throughout its history, initially starting as the local fraternity Phi Kappa Pi and eventually merging with Sigma Phi Epsilon in 1938. Despite facing challenges, including the loss of its charter in 2003, the chapter was successfully re-chartered in 2007 and has since achieved remarkable success by winning eight consecutive Buchanan Cups, including the prestigious Gold Buchanan Cup.
