Shri Ambaji Mandir
The Hindu Community Center, established in 1980, is recognized as the first Hindu mandir in New Jersey, initially located on Gaston Avenue in Garfield. After a year of renovations, the center became a spiritual hub for the Indian community, housing the murtis of Shri Ambaji, Shri Krishna, Hanumanji, Ganeshji, and the Shiva Lingam.
In response to the community's needs, the center expanded its offerings by establishing the Vidyakendra, a facility aimed at educating children about Indian culture and heritage. In 1993, the center further enhanced its services by opening Vaikunth Dham in Kearny, which features multiple classrooms, a banquet hall, and a dedicated space for displaying murtis.
