ShopRite of Branchburg

ShopRite is one of the largest retailer-owned cooperatives in the United States and is also one of the largest employers in New Jersey. Maintaining a location in Branchburg, N.J., it operates more than 190 stores in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware. ShopRite, a full-service grocery store, is a partner and supporter of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, which donates food and services to the needy. ShopRite is also one of the major sponsors of New Jersey and Connecticut s Special Olympics Games. Founded in 1951, it operates various other stores, including Village Supermarkets, Starn s Markets, Foodarama Supermarkets, Inserra Supermarkets, Glass Gardens, Perlmart Stores and ShopRite Supermarkets. All ShopRite owners are members of Wakefern Food Corporation, which buys, warehouses and transports products.
