Leonid Topper, MD is a Board Certified pediatric neurologist with 16 years of experience. He joins Summit Health from Advocare Pediatric Neurology Associates of Morristown where he worked for the last 11 years. He previously worked as a faculty attending and brain tumor program neurologist at Schneider Children's Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York.Dr. Topper has served as an Examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for many years. He is also an Assistant Professor in Neurology Department at Columbia University in New York City where he conducts a teaching clinic several times a month. Dr. Topper is a Member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health in the United Kingdom.Dr. Topper's philosophy in pediatric neurology is actively involving the child's family in decision making about the treatment options, respecting their preferences and believes, and considering, situation permitting, least aggressive and medication-free options first. However, when a child's condition requires more immediate and decisive action, Dr. Topper will counsel and support the family accordingly.Parents will always be able to get sense of what physician himself would do if this would involve his own child. Although the patient's involvement in her or his care is usually encouraged, the family wishes of how much they want their child to know about the diagnosis and treatment will always be followed.Dr. Topper spends his free time with his family, plays tennis and enjoys water sports, including windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and kayaking.

Adeep B. Thumar, MD, specializes in general adult urology, robotic and laparoscopic surgery, genitourinary oncology, medical and surgical treatment of kidney stones, and medical and surgical treatment for enlarged prostates. To his credit, Dr. Thumar is the first urologist at Saint Barnabas Medical Center to perform laser enucleation for the prostate.Dr. Thumar is the coauthor of articles that are published in prestigious, peer-reviewed scientific journals, including British Journal of Urology and Journal of Vascular Interventional Radiology. He has delivered national invited presentations in his field.Dr. Thumar says, "During adolescence, my volunteer experience for a hospital system inspired me to help people who are sick or in pain. Calvin Natanzon, MD, specializes in neurology, with expertise in the evaluation and treatment of epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders. He has a special interest in epilepsy research and high power nuclear magnetic resonance imaging of the brain. He also has extensive experience in the neuromuscular application of Botox for various neurological disorders ranging from hemifacial spasms and migraines to upper motor neuron disorders. Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Natanzon practiced in Westchester, NY.
