Legal Services of New Jersey is an independent, nonprofit organization that coordinates legal services statewide. The organization strives to ensure equal access to justice under law for the people of New Jersey. It provides free legal assistance to low-income people in civil matters. LSNJ places emphasis upon the expansion of economic opportunity for individuals in poverty. Services are provided in response to a broad range of civil problems, including tenancy matters, divorce, custody cases, bankruptcy, collections, warranties, unfair sales practices and income maintenance.
