In 2010, N.J. native and artist Samuel Nygard created Rebel Child Designs as a platform for displaying his graffiti inspired art in unique and creative ways. In 2018, the Hawthorne N.J. resident and father of 2, decided to leave his home based studio and business, to pursue his dream of opening up a custom art studio/boutique. Shop Local by Rebel Child Designs is not only a one stop shop for all custom art needs, but it doubles as a consignment shop for local artists. The unique and colorful shop features wall art, t-shirts, hand made jewelry, scented candles, coloring books, wall hangings, furniture both new and reclaimed, decorative pillows, and even vintage vinyl records!

This store is very unique. Full of color, unique gifts and art. I love the furniture and the cool T-shirt's. The owner is also very nice. Ask about his custom work. Don't hesitate to visit!!!!

Hawthorne contains a plethora of hidden gems, but Sam at Shop Local is most definitely the rarest gem of them all. The uniqueness of his shop and the kindness of his personality are the icing on...
