With a view to expand family-owned dairy business, Carlton C. Durling established QuickChek in 1966. From its single store in Dunellen, N.J., the company has grown into a chain of more than 100 full-service convenience stores with presence in over 15 counties and employing nearly 1,750 individuals. In addition to traditional food products and store supplies, QuickChek maintains a range of pharmaceutical products and offers gasoline through its fuel stations. The company provides a selection of dairy products, consumer supplies, bakery items, farm produce and grocery. Its stores feature hot and cold beverages, fruit juices, soups, snacks, burgers, pizzas, sausages, sandwiches, cookies, brownies, donuts, muffins and candies. The company also offers sales and marketing initiatives, extensive training programs and customer support services. QuickChek maintains public utility services, gasoline stations and ATMs throughout its stores. The company is headquartered in Whitehouse Station, N.J., and operates a store in Piscataway, N.J.
