Proprietary House in Perth Amboy, NJ, is one of the most historic buildings in the United States, completed in 1764. This site has served various roles throughout its history, including the residence of New Jersey's last royal governor, and now functions as a museum operated by the non-profit Proprietary House Association.

This unique mansion is the only remaining official royal governor's residence in the original 13 colonies and offers guided tours, lectures, and special events for the community. Additionally, its beautiful spaces are available for rental for weddings, meetings, and other special occasions.
