History
Before the fall of the Iron Curtain, Ludmila Vlasova and Yefim Shoykhet found a talent and passion for swim instruction, eventually coaching national teams in the former U.S.S.R. But when they wanted a better life in America, they started Physique Swimming. For 18 years, the Shoykhet family has used their comprehensive understanding of swim techniques and an optimistic, personalized approach to teach the art and discipline of swimming.

Physique Swimming offers classes for all ages and skill levels, taught by experienced instructors all year-round. We help each student achieve their own specific goals, whether it's beginners progressing into skilled swimmers or tri-atheletes seeking a competitive edge. Our team of instructors represent diverse backgrounds, and are Red Cross certified for Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR. Our founder earned his Masters degree in Physical Education and has over 25 years experience as a swim instructor and competitive swimming coach.
