Phillipsburg Railroad Historians

The Phillipsburg Railroad Historians is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization based in Phillipsburg, NJ, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of railroads in the area.

With their 2023 operating schedule ending on a high note with the annual Santa Train, the organization welcomed Santa Claus aboard Lehigh and Hudson River Caboose number 18, delighting visitors with the opportunity to talk, pose, and take pictures with him. The event saw a steady flow of visitors, ensuring minimal wait times, and most trains operated at or near full capacity. Generous contributions from local supporters, such as Tom and Marjorie Rose and John and Anne Boner, provided gift bags and books for children, while ShopRite of Greenwich sponsored the free snacks and drinks. As the year came to a close, the volunteers gathered for a group photo, extending warm wishes for a Happy Holiday Season and promising to return in the spring.
