Fahad Khateeb, MD is a member of Summit Health's Hospitalist Medicine team. As an internal medicine hospitalist, Dr. Khateeb treats and coordinates care for adult patients who require hospital admission. Trained in family medicine, he has experience in various patient care settings including behavioral health, skilled nursing, and long-term acute care facilities, as well as telemedicine.Dr. Khateeb takes pride in creating healthy doctor-patient relationships built on empathy, transparency, compassion, and an emphasis on patient safety. His approach to care recognizes each patients unique needs, honors the diversity of personal identities and backgrounds, and encourages patient involvement in decisions regarding their care. I always remember that each patient is an individual, a member of a family, and a member of a larger community, he says.In addition to treating patients, Dr. Khateeb finds reward in team-based care. Thats part of what drew me to hospital medicineI really enjoy working with medical students, residents, subspecialists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and case managers, he says. He adds that his colleagues various perspectives create opportunity for continuous learning and enhanced patient care.Having grown up in a medically underserved community, Dr. Khateeb pursued a health care career to make a difference in others lives. That work has extended to volunteerism serving underprivileged patient populations.In his free time, Dr. Khateeb also enjoys reading, playing musical instruments, and traveling.

Hilary J. Khademi, PT, specializes in treating and evaluating a wide range of neurologic and orthopedic physical therapy patients.Before joining Summit Health, Ms. Khademi practiced with the Mount Sinai Medical Center Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York City. Her experience includes acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedic therapy.As a ballet dancer, Ms. Khademi benefited from physical therapy for her injuries. She says, "My therapists helped me recover quickly and return to dancing. Their effectiveness, together with my experience working in a rural hospital in Africa, inspired me to pursue a career that allows me to help other people. Most of all," says Ms. Khademi, "I enjoy developing trusting professional relationships with my patients so that I can help them return to the activities for which they are passionate."Ms. Khademi is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.When she is not working with her patients, Ms. Khademi enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as dancing, yoga, and sports.

Jaime Falvey, BSN, MSN, APN, specializes in ear wax, tinnitus, ear pain, ear infections (otitis media and otitis external), hearing loss, and balance and vestibular disorders, including benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and Meneire's disease as well as nasal problems, sinusitis, and chronic rhinitis.Before joining the Summit Health Ear, Nose, and Throat service, Ms. Falvey was a certified diabetes nurse educator with Mahwah Medical in Mahwah, New Jersey. She also has held positions with Mount Vernon Internal Medicine in Alexandria, Fairfax Ambulatory Surgical Center in Fairfax, George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC, and the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, all located in Virginia. Her experience has involved the care of patients with acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, osteoporosis, and heart disease. She also has provided patients education and counseling on preventive care and nutrition.Ms. Falvey is a recipient of the George Mason University/George Washington University School of Medicine Adult Nurse Practitioner Program Primary Care Award and the James Madison University Senior Peer Award. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.Ms. Falvey says, "I studied for and entered the field of nursing and health care because I am gratified by listening carefully to and caring for my patients. I especially enjoy taking time to explain a diagnosis and what's involved in treatment so that my patients can take an active role in improving and maintaining their health."
