Liana M. Spano-Brennan, DO, FACC, specializes in cardiology, with a particular interest in treatment and prevention of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, weight management, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure and coronary artery disease. Dr. Spano-Brennan has a special interest in women's heart disease and detection, and evaluation of cardiovascular disease in women. Prior to joining Summit Health, she practiced in Neptune, NJ.Dr. Spano-Brennan has advanced training in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT angiography. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Peter F. Barry, DO, FACOI, has practiced privately in Clark, New Jersey, since 2003. Dr. Barry is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, both in New York City. In addition, he is an instructor of osteopathic and manipulative medicine at Overlook Medical Center and Trinitas Hospital. He is an adjunct professor in the Department of Exercise Physiology at Kean University. Dr. Barry is Team Physician for Kean University, Union County College, Cranford High School, Arthur L. Johnson High School, Watchung Hills Regional High School, and Word Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Dr. Barry is Former Program Director of the Overlook Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. He has been Chair of the Patient Care Committee and a teaching attending physician at Union Hospital in Union, New Jersey. He also has practiced with Boro Park Primary Care Center and Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.Dr. Barry is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. In addition to his position at Summit Health, Robert A. Fuhrman, MD, FACP, FACE, is Attending Physician in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey.Before joining Summit Health, Dr. Fuhrman practiced with Paramount Medical Group/Endocrine Metabolic Associates in Westfield, New Jersey. He has been Chief of Medicine and Chief in the Department of Medicine Endocrinology Section at Overlook Medical Center. He also has been an endocrinology consultant for Children's Specialized Hospital and a member of the Overlook Medical Center internal medicine staff.Dr. Fuhrman has been Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.Dr. Fuhrman is Former President and a life director of the American Diabetes Association New Jersey Affiliate. He is Former Medical Director and Chairman of the Board of Camp Nejeda and the Camp Nejeda Foundation, which serves children with diabetes. He is Past President and a member of the Union County Medical Society Executive Committee, Past New Jersey State Chairman of the American Medical Association Organized Medical Staff Section, and Former President of the Jewish Community Center of Central New Jersey. He has been a board member of the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey, Jewish Family Services Agency, and Temple Emanu-El of Westfield. Dr. Fuhrman is a fellow of the Endocrine Society and American College of Endocrinology. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association and New Jersey Motor Vehicle Bureau Diabetes Advisory Board.Dr. Fuhrman is a recipient of more than 22 honors and awards, including the John J. Sheinin, MD, Meritorious Award, Mount Sinai School of Medicine Solomon A. Silver Award, and American Medical Association Physician Achievement Award.
