This brought about the realization of the unique needs and barriers to care in the elderly. Most health care problems of elderly are chronic and debilitating. Seniors, juggling complicated drug regimes and medical issues, also have to deal with increasingly complex health care environment. This includes cost of transportation, prior authorizations, Medicare prescription drug plan, brand versus generic to name a few.
