New Jersey Pain Management was founded in 1996 by Dr. Philip Rubinfeld. His goal was to establish excellence in the field of interventional pain medicine by providing the latest treatment options and offering the most advanced techniques to diagnose and treat patients who suffer from painful conditions. As many as one in three people suffers from some form of chronic pain, including low back pain, sciatica, neck and arm pain, herniated discs, reflex sympathetic dystrophy and other painful conditions. We are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of pain, with an emphasis on the treatment of pain through the use of interventional procedures. David Skolnik, OTR, CHT, is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He is an adjunct professor in the Seton Hall University Occupational Therapy Program. He is Past President of the American Society of Hand Therapists New Jersey State Chapter, Past Chairperson of the New Jersey Occupational Therapy Association Hand Therapy Special Interest Group, and an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists.Mr. Skolnik believes that humor, respect, optimism, and commitment are essential to his approach with patients. He notes, "I use these qualities to relate to and partner with my patients in helping them achieve their health goals.
