History

Mushin Ryu Aikido Dojo opened in 2018 and started out of a long time love of and commitment to martial arts beginning from the age of 12 and culminating opening the Dojo in a desire to share the knowledge and beauty of the art that I have learned with others.

Specialties

Aikido is a Japanese Martial Art founded by Morihei Ueshiba, O'Sensei, meaning; great teacher. Essentially, Aikido uses the energy of an attacker against themselves and in proportion to, or addition to it as a means of neutralizing the attack and gaining control of by the attacker by means of throws, joint locks, or pins. Aikido, as practiced here at the Mushin Ryu Aikido Dojo, infuses the art with various other striking arts that include; parries, blocks, and strikes such as kicks and punches, along with dealing with armed attackers of various kinds.

The South Jersey Region Antique Automobile Club of America, established in 1966, is dedicated to showcasing classic automobiles to the public through local events and activities. With a membership of over 100 individuals, the club welcomes enthusiasts of all generations who share a passion for automobiles and their heritage. From participating in car shows and parades to visiting nursing homes and engaging in regional events, the club strives to preserve the love for classic cars and foster its growth within the community. One of the club's most treasured vehicles is a 1931 Ford Victoria, originally restored by Al Sharp, the first President of SJRAACA. The club also organizes annual events such as the Harvest Fest Car Show and the Swap Meet and Car Corral, which is the largest one-day swap meet on the east coast, attracting thousands of shoppers and vendors each year.
