Abram E. Kirschenbaum, MD, FAAOS, specializes in hand surgery, including operative and nonoperative treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, cubital tunnel syndrome, radial tunnel syndrome and Dupuytrens contracture. He also treats disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow, including fracturess, nonunions, dislocations, tennis elbow, wrist and elbow instability, tendonitis, tendon lacerations, tendon ruptures, tumors, arthritis, sports injuries, nerve injuries and congenital disorders of the upper limbs. His expertise includes wrist arthroscopy, management of wrist pain and instability, minimally invasive treatment of Dupuytrens contracture, and operative management of upper limb manifestations of cerebral palsy. He treats patients of all ages.Dr. Kirschenbaum has practiced with North Jersey Hand Surgery since 1996. Since 2000, he has been a staff member at the Childrens Specialized Hospital Hand and Upper Extremity Clinic in Mountainside, New Jersey.Dr. Kirschenbaum is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Morris County Medical Society. Dr. Kirschenbaum has served as Secretary, Vice President and President of the New York Society for Surgery of the Hand. He has been a clinical instructor for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Newark and has been an instructor in hand surgery for the Monmouth County Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. He is currently Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.Dr. Kirschenbaum believes in an individualized approach to treating each patient. Ross J. Fox, MD, FAAOS, specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, Dupuytrens contracture, fractures care of the hand, wrist, and forearm. He also specializes in treatment for osteoarthritis of the hand, wrist, and elbow, and treatment for nerve and tendon injuries of the hand, wrist and elbow.Dr. Fox has practiced with North Jersey Hand Surgery since 2002. He also has practiced with Garden State Orthopedics and he has been an attending surgeon in trauma and adult reconstruction for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is a member of the Surgical Center at Cedar Knolls Board of Directors and he is a member of the Surgical Center at Millburn Board of Directors.Dr. Fox says, People use their hands for different reasons and in different ways. For this reason, I believe its important to learn about each patients hand function before injury, understand what he or she would like to achieve from surgery and develop a customized treatment plan to achieve the goals. He has been a reviewer for Journal of Orthopaedic Research.
