Marianna Shimelfarb, MD specializes in Integrative Family Medicine. Before joining Summit Health Family Medicine Department, she served as an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Williamsburg (Brooklyn), NY. She is also a teaching faculty at the Interdisciplinary Integrative Medicine Fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and at the Holistic Family Nurse Practitioner track at the New York University College of Nursing. Dr. Shimelfarb is a recipient of several teaching awards, including Preceptor of the Year Award at the NYU College of Nursing.As an Integrative Family Physician, Dr. Shimelfarb has a passion for providing quality care for the entire family with an integrative approach. She practices patient-centered care and uses her knowledge of alternative evidence-based treatments in combination with her training as an allopathic physician.

He is the recipient of numerous research grants (including prestigious funding from the NIH), serves on the editorial board of several electrophysiology journals (including Heart Rhythm, published by the Heart Rhythm Society) and is currently on the electrophysiology subcommittee of the American Board of Internal Medicine preparing board questions for his peers. He is a fellow in several professional societies including the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society. He currently serves as President of the International Society of Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology.Dr. Steinberg has been recognized by his peers as a Top Doctor in New York Magazine for numerous years, and was the only New Jersey electrophysiologist selected in 2016. He has been similarly recognized by New Jersey Monthly, Inside New Jersey, Super Doctors and Castle Connolly.
