In 1964, Lehigh Inc., a large malleable iron foundry and munitions maker spun off its air control division as Lehigh Fluid Power Inc. Lehigh Fluid Power Inc.'s standard products include pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders, valve actuator cylinders, boosters and intensifiers, spring cylinders and pneumatic linear air motor. The company has manufactured cylinders with special features such as unique mounting requirements, tandem force cylinders, underwater operation, non-rotating rods, high-temperature applications, locking cylinders, composite materials, position sensing cylinders, alternate operating media cylinders, large bore cylinders and custom engineered spring extend or spring retract cylinders. It serves a variety of industries such as food processing, pharmaceutical, damper, controls power generation, marine and boating, chemical and petrochemical and all types of general industrial machinery.
