As an employee of a Jewelry Store, I learned to engrave small jewelry pieces using a pantograph engraver , Learning minor jewelry repair, and watching the hand engraver complete more intricate designs. It was then that my interest in hand engraving was sparked. After leaving the jewelry store, I found ways of expressing his interest in creating art by working in wood, carving decorative birds, and earning several ribbons in competition Along the way, I purchased equipment and learned the art of egg carving, using a high speed rotary tool with dental bits. Also during this time I learned the art of sand etching using a micro sand blaster to create unique custom articles and logos. In 2005, I realized a life long dream of learning the art of hand engraving after reading an advertisement for the GRS Engraving School in Emporia Kansas. At the urging of my wife Marie who has always supported my endeavors, I enrolled in the basic engraving course , took my first air flight to Kansas and began the process of learning to engrave, which as any engraver will attest to , is a process that never ends. A few years ago Marie and I learned the process of laser negraving and sublimation and began to offer these unique services to our customers. ...So take a look at the site.
