Jamieson Greenwald
Jamieson Greenwald, MD is a member of Summit Health's Obstetrics and Gynecology team. Dr. Greenwald specializes in women's reproductive health, treating women across the span of their lifetime. She performs routine and high-risk obstetrics as well as minor and major gynecologic surgical procedures and has special clinical interest in laparoscopic surgery, family planning, and contraception.In college, Dr. Greenwald found herself gravitating toward the sciences and public health, and she loved the versatility a degree in medicine could supply. "A medical degree is valuable in a variety of job sectors, including research and education," she says. "You can work with your hands or at a computer, and you get to engage with so many different people, which was really appealing to me," she adds.Dr. Greenwald understands that the field of OB-GYN is a personal one, so it's important to her to establish open, honest relationships with her patients. "My job relies heavily on my ability to listen to each patients' story and learn their history in order to determine the best path of management."During her college years, Dr. Greenwald was a competitive soccer player. However, nowadays, her main source of enjoyment is spending time with her family, especially her young son, who keeps her very busy in her time away from the office.
