Salvation and Social Justice is a Trenton-based nonprofit organization dedicated to liberating public policy theologically by embodying the hope and resilience of Black faith. They empower historically marginalized communities to envision and implement their own solutions to the structural racism prevalent in society. Through their various projects and events, Salvation and Social Justice strives to move individuals from a state of lament to liberation, fostering a community-led response to address racial inequality. In addition to community-based development services, Isles provides public education support throughout New Jersey and beyond. In particular, Isles works to change regional and statewide policies that concentrate poverty, undermine schools, promote sprawl, and foster racial segregation. To broaden its impact, Isles develops easily replicated approaches and provides other organizations with technical and organizational assistance.
