Before joining Summit Health, Nicole D. Garcia, MD, was an attending pediatrician in private practice with The Healthy Child in Darien, Connecticut. Dr. Garcia has been a member of the Yale New Haven Hospital Quality Improvement Project Committee and Codirector of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine National Primary Care Week conference. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.A gifted teacher, Dr. Garcia has taught health education for Hartford Health Education seminars as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the American Red Cross and Harvard Emergency Medical Services. She has been a volunteer physician for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, South Park Inn Clinic, South Marshall Clinic, the Migrant Farm Workers' Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, and Connecticut Hospice, all located in Connecticut.When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Garcia enjoys dance, music, and baseball. She is an accomplished accordionist and vocalist.
