The Food Bank Network of Somerset County is a non-governmental, non-sectarian organization dedicated to distributing food and providing basic human needs to individuals in need within the community. With a mission to recognize and advance self-worth and human dignity, they work through their warehouse-pantry in Bridgewater and satellite food pantries to help feed and provision people until they become self-sufficient.

Despite Somerset County being one of the wealthiest counties in America, there are still 17,000 individuals living below the poverty line. The Food Bank Network aims to address this issue by assisting Somerset County residents referred by public and private county agencies, relying on the support of professional staff members, a volunteer board of directors, and numerous volunteers across the county.

The Food Bank has changed dramatically since moving to the new location at 7E Easy Street last February. It is more like a "store" than a distribution center. Clients can come once every 7 days...
