Fanwood Fire Department

The Fanwood Police Department works to preserve peace, prevent crime and protect the rights, lives and property of the residents of Fanwood, N.J. It operates traffic safety and detective bureaus. The department maintains a communication center that responds to police, fire, and emergency and nonemergency medical calls. The Fanwood Police Department provides information regarding child and bicycle safety, as well as offers vehicle parking permits to residents. It employs more than 20 sworn officers and civilians. The department also hosts Project ChildSafe, which is a nationwide firearms safety education program that distributes safety kits to children.
