GEC incorporated in 1968. A full service machine shop capable of large and small run machine work. Since 1974 we have been producing our own product, the GEC Turret Rewinder. We specialized in doing work for the printing industry, but now are diversified in all types of precision machine work for all industries. Our new line of machinery which focuses on sludge processing is marketed under our new name, Charter Machine Company.Our team of engineers and technicians combines scientific knowledge with many years of experience in the industry. Charter Machine Company is now into its third year of successful operation of the former Roediger Pittsburgh line of equipment. Biosolid Treatment Plants have relied on Roediger's equipment for years- and for good reason. It's the best built, best performing presses and treatment equipment in the business.We at Charter Machine Company have been supplying service and parts to Roediger's existing customers, as well as continuing to build several machines that were still under contract. Building the Roediger Equipment line of machinery blended well into our factory's production and manufacture of Parts and Machines. Adding a Secondary product line in a different field advanced our company in growth and diversification.To facilitate this CMC has hired former Roediger Engineering, Service and Sales personnel. Our company has developed a reputation within the industry for outstanding workmanship, knowledge and customer service.
