Doreen Degraaff

Aashiki Shah, DO is a member of Summit Health's Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine team. Dr. Shah provides preventive care and treatment for minor illnesses to patients up to age 18. She prioritizes making sure her patients and their families feel their concerns are heard and addressed, and that they feel well-equipped in managing their health.Dr. Shah always enjoyed science and was drawn to pediatric medicine from a very young age. Through her work in preventive care, treatment, and education, she takes pride in watching her patients grow and thrive while empowering them to manage their own health.Dr. Shahs ambitions also include pursuing more cultural competence within the field of health care. While working on a research project during her residency, she discovered knowledge gaps and opportunities for providers serving culturally diverse patient populations and is interested in furthering work in this space.In her free time, Dr. Shah enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and baking. She is passionate about nutrition, exercise, and raising awareness about social determinants of health.

Karen Dias-Martin, MD, specializes in gynecology, adolescent gynecology, menopause management, and minimally invasive gynecologic plastic surgery.Dr. Dias-Martin has practiced privately in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, for more than 20 years. She has been an adjunct professor of obstetrics and gynecology at New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. For 7 years, she was Director of the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mountainside Hospital. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.Dr. Dias-Martin has delivered local and regional invited presentations on women's health, adolescent sexuality, menopause, hormone replacement therapy, and related topics in her field. She is a former member of the Montclair Kimberley Academy Board of Trustees, Planned Parenthood of Montclair Board of Trustees, and American Red Cross of Montclair Board of Trustees.Dr. Dias-Martin says, "At an early age, science fascinated me. My interest in science and desire to help others made medicine a perfect career choice."When she is not working with her patients, Dr. Dias-Martin enjoys golf, gardening, attending her son's football and rugby games, and watching the latest blockbusters on the big screen.

Beena Jani, MD is a member of Summit Health's Family Medicine team. Dr. Jani is Board-certified in Family Medicine and provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including primary care for adults, children and adolescents. Dr. Janis expertise includes preventative medicine, patient education and womens health.Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Jani spent 11 years serving as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and Medical Director of Family Medicine at the Herman "Denny" Farrell, Jr. Community Health Center. In 2012, Dr. Jani received the Teacher of the Year for teaching residents at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Center for Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Jani is an accomplished researcher and educator in her field and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.Dr. Jani says, I enjoy taking care of families. I have found that being able to care for multiple members of the same family gives me a great deal of insight about a patients health and wellness. I am grateful for the opportunity to practice medicine and build meaningful relationships with patients.Dr. Jani strongly believes in the care coordination that Summit Health affords and how it optimizes quality of care. Through this system, she can not only partner with her patients, but also work collaboratively with other health care providers to ensure the best possible health outcomes.When not seeing patients, Dr. Jani enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, reading, and small doses of reality TV.
