History

Since our beginning in 1903, the Hunterdon County YMCA has been strengthening our community. Together with people like you, we nurture the potential of kids, help people understand and improve their health, and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors. Today, the Hunterdon County YMCA is one of the largest not-for-profit community service organizations in Hunterdon County. It is an important part of community life in the many neighborhoods it serves. It works to meet the health and social service needs of the 10,000 men, women and children served each year. The YMCA works to promote strong children and families, good health, a solid community, and a better world. Best known for health and fitness, our Y also provides childcare, summer camp, preschool, family programs, swim lessons, activities for seniors, teen programs, volunteer opportunities and much more. The abundance of offerings allows the YMCA to effectively meet a variety of needs and serve the community.

Hunterdon County, YMCA emphasizes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in Flemington, NJ. Founded in 1903, our organization includes two gym facilities, three-day camps, a full-day child learning center, two half-day preschools, and a senior center. Programs offered include martial arts, fitness classes, swimming lessons, martial arts, and dance classes for members of all ages and skill levels. We offer a free one-day trial with no contract memberships, as well as available financial assistance.
