Founded in 1931, Springfield Metal Products has three generations of history and experience. A fabricator of precision sheet metal components and specialized weldments, our manufacturing team guarantees every customer a job which conforms to their blueprint specifications. Our full service facility enables us to meet the needs of today's sophisticated products, while continuing the tradition of success through customer satisfaction. Paul "Pop" Sommer started Springfield Welding Shop by sharpening knives, lawnmower blades, and saw blades. He also did welding repairs on wagons, bicycles, and anything else made of metal. Starting in his two car garage, Paul made a wagon from the axle of a car, which he pulled behind his bicycle to surrounding towns. The old wagon had no tires, but rode faithfully behind Paul on it's rims as he made his daily deliveries. In 1946, Springfield Welding Shop became Springfield Welding Company, Inc Walter E. Sommer, Paul's son, expanded the business into specialized equipment used in the air and water treatment industries. Bucket Elevators, conveyors systems, electrical and then computer enclosures were added to Paul's line of work. Right through the 1980's Walter, with his son Tim, continued to expand the capabilities of Springfield Welding with new manufacturing equipment and processes. It was Tim, who in 1984, believed the name Springfield Welding no longer reflected the abilities of the company. Thus, the company name was changed to Springfield Metal Products Company Inc Today, Walter's son John continues to improve SMP. Name your metal, your application, your specification...SMP will work closely with you from prototypes to medium run productions. And, oh yes, we still weld bicycles just like Pop Sommer did.

Zober Industries, located in Croydon, Pa., provides a range of custom manufacturing services for prototype circuit boards. It offers printed circuit assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and complete engineering and design. Its surface mount technology produces circuit boards in a variety of sizes and complexity. The company is able to place components on single or double-sided, flexible, combination or PCMCIA board. Its design and engineering services division uses CAD and CAM with the customer s concept or schematic and designs and lays out a printed circuit board, mechanical assembly or metal enclosure. CNC machining, forming, welding and assembly are completely programmed and run in-house.

Germantown Tool & Manufacturing began in 1955 as a small, Philadelphia-based tool and die shop. With more than a half-century of experience, we have grown to become a diversified metal fabricator and metal engineering supplier, employing over 40 highly skilled people. The company currently occupies a 40,000 ft2 manufacturing and warehouse space in Huntingdon Valley, a suburb of Philadelphia, PA.We supply a broad range of component parts and complete assemblies to a number of markets. These include the commercial lawn & garden equipment, construction, truck & trailer, medical, office furniture, defense, transportation, recreation & leisure, architecture & artisan, and general industrial markets.In response to our customers growing desire to reduce the number of metal fabricators in their supply chains, we have expanded into several additional metal engineering processes. The addition of these processes has positioned Germantown Tool as a leading metal fabricator in the Mid Atlantic region.
