The Crosswicks Library Company, located in the charming village of Crosswicks, is dedicated to serving the community of Chesterfield Township. Established in 1817, the library has a rich history of evolving to meet the needs of its patrons.

Initially operating from private residences with book donations from local businesses and individuals, the library found a permanent home in 1931 on the upper floor of the Union Fire Company. Over the years, the library expanded within the firehouse, eventually occupying the entire building after the fire company relocated in 1968.
