Circle of Friends
Circle of Friends (CoF) is a school inclusion program that aims to address the social-emotional needs and safety of students who face social isolation due to disability or other challenges. Through weekly lunches and meaningful activities, CoF fosters compassion, understanding, and genuine friendship among students, promoting a culture of acceptance. The program also provides strategies and support for teachers to connect with their students, inspiring self-advocacy and creating student-led change, ultimately improving student engagement, teacher morale, and school climate.
CoF is a project of Give Start a Chapter and operates under the umbrella of Community Partners, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. With a mission to change lives one friendship at a time, CoF is committed to creating a more inclusive society where students realize that they are more alike than different, and where genuine friendships can flourish.
