Christopher Sciales, MD is a native New Yorker who moved to New Jersey in 1989. His mother is a retired Pediatrician, his father a retired Internist and his grandfather was a General Practitioner. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Fordham University and attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Following a year residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, Dr. Sciales completed his Dermatology residency at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. He became a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology in 1992.

A native Texan, Dr. Patel grew up in the Dallas area suburb of Carrollton, where he graduated as salutatorian from Creekview High School. He was a magna cum laude graduate in Biochemistry from Austin College in Sherman, Texas and went on to complete his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Subsequently, he completed his internship, a two-year psoriasis research fellowship, and dermatology training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where he graduated as Chief Resident under the direction of Dr. Alan Menter.
