Chariot Riders Inc provides therapeutic horseback riding for physically and mentally challenged children and adults to improve the quality of their physical, emotional, mental and social well-being!Our Programs and ServicesChariot Riders Inc is a registered non-profit organization that is accredited by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association ( NARHA ). Our Ocean County Facility is located in Manchester, NJ and the Monmouth County Facility is located in Farmingdale, NJ. We service individuals as well as public and private schools, Girl Scouts and Ocean County 4H. In addition to our lesson program, we also offer summer camps, in house and off premises horse shows, year round riding in an indoor arena, in house 4H club, and group trips and activities.The Chariot Riders riding program operates year round and is as follows: Mon - Sat by appointment. Schools/Group sessions are ongoing throughout the year.Chariot Riders Therapeutic Riding provides classes designed to meet the requirements of the Boy Scouts Horsemanship Badge, Girl Scout Horse Fan, Horse Rider, and Horse Sense Badges. Badges can be completed by groups or individuals.Group and individual lessons are available for able-bodied and disabled riders, Pre-K to Adult, Monday through Friday between the hours of 10: 00am - 5: 30pm, and Saturdays, between the hours of 9: 00am - 3: 00pm. Riding lessons are taught by NARHA certified staff using our specially trained horses. Riding students will be introduced to basic riding skills in a safe and secure environment. Lessons are offered year round. Lessons are booked individually based on rider ability and instructor availability.Payment is due at the time of registration. Only lessons canceled by the staff will be rescheduled. There are no refunds on lessons.Chariot Riders is an accredited member of North American Riding for the Handicapped ( NARAH ). We are staffed by A.R.I.C.P. ( American Riding Instructor Certification Program ) instructors. In addition, our staff and volunteers are both C.P.R and first-aid certified.
