History

I was around 10-years-old at the time, but I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sitting in the living room floor with my mom looking through a box of photographs of my grandparents throughout their lives. Among them all, there's one photograph that always stood out in my mind: my grandparents' engagement portrait that was printed in the local newspaper to announce their marriage. I've been fascinated with photography for as long as I can remember, and for years I struggled with which direction I wanted to go with it. It seemed like my grandparents' engagement photo always came back to me, and one day something clicked. I wanted to photograph couples in love and tell their stories. I wanted to be the one to freeze fleeting moments in time and give the moments back to couples so they could later relive them and pass them down to their children and grandchildren. Being a photographer allows me to do just that, and it's the most rewarding part of what I'm lucky enough to call my job.
