Cape May Transfer Station

Founded in 1972, the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (CMCMUA) provides wastewater treatment and solid waste disposal services. The agency serves the residents of Cape May County in New Jersey. Its source separation, recycling, reuse and waste reduction program specializes in recycling more than 20 mandated materials. CMCMUA reclaims energy through its landfill gas recovery system and prevents toxic materials from entering the waste stream by collecting them through a household hazardous waste program. The agency recycles newspapers, magazines, plastic, glass bottles, and aluminum and steel cans. It maintains a sanitary landfill and intermediate processing facility for solid waste disposal.

The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office is responsible for the detection, investigation, arrest and conviction of criminals. The office serves as a chief law enforcement agency and works with the municipal and state police departments to ensure the effective, efficient and uniform enforcement of criminal law. It maintains a victim witness advocacy division that ensures fair, compassionate and respectful behavior to victims by the criminal justice system. The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office also provides crisis intervention and referral to appropriate social service agencies and assistance with child care. It offers information regarding the criminal and juvenile justice system, as well as cyber safety prevention tips for parents and children. The office is located in Cape May Court House, N.J.
