Owner Patrick Lapide worked in his family's business: Lawrence J Lapide, Inc in Brooklyn, NY. This thriving wholesale/retail specialty store was started by his grandfather and passed down through the generations, growing and expanding over the years. It is still going strong today with the help of matriarch Patricia Lapide, a local celebrity and beloved fixture at the store. Patrick and his wife Judy relocated to beautiful New Jersey in search of a quieter lifestyle. Five years ago, they opened Dragonfly Farms. "Our mission is to provide vibrant plants & flowers, eclectic treasures, and gorgeous home furnishings at prices you can't find anywhere else, " explains Judy.
