Beth El Religious School

Beth El Religious School, based in Voorhees, N.J., is affiliated with the conservative congregation of Beth El. The school is a supplementary educational program for children from kindergarten through grade 10. It offers a wide variety of programs, including Torah study, prayers, acts of kindness, and the continuity of Israeli people. Its Hebrew language program includes letter recognition and Hebrew vocabulary, and diction classes. In its elementary school, students learn about the Shabbat morning service, Torah service, kabbalat Shabbat and evening service, Hebrew reading and vocabulary, Bible study, Jewish holidays and Israel. Students also learn a variety of Hebrew, English and liturgical songs and melodies that are related to Shabbat, the holidays, the siddur and Israel. Beth El Religious School s special programs include bar and bat mitzvah, accelerated Hebrew program, children s choir, Israeli dancing, Hebrew Ulpan, drama and yoga.
