The Board of Education is a consultative body of Southington Public Schools with responsibilities for making policies in the areas of planning, policy development, financing, public relations and evaluation. It is a part of New Brunswick Public Schools, which offers a range of academic and extracurricular opportunities for students. It has several elementary, middles and high schools. New Brunswick Public Schools provide learning classes in English, special education, language arts, mathematics and social studies. Located in Essex Fells, N.J., Essex Fells School provides a variety of educational and extracurricular programs for students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. The school has an enrollment of more than 250 students. Essex Fells School also administers art, vocal and instrumental music, speech therapy, and physical and health education programs.
